Erode carving technique, the carving effect is good or bad, except the technique procedure,  the proportioning and choice of corrosive, the stone character, processing way  will affect the result greatly.
         Stone  character mainly contain chemical component , mineral component, structure etc.
        1. stone chemical component
        The  choice of escharotic is decided by stone chemical component. Different escharotic  decide the different speed of reaction, thus to cause the great effect on carving speed, carving effect, for example, marble whose mainly component is carbonate,  so it is better to choose escharotic made from HCI, while for granite, whose  mainly component is silicate, it is better to choose escharotic made from HF.
        2.  mineral component
        The  mineral component was not only affected by chemical component, also affected by  the conditions to form stone, the stone with same chemical component exist  different mineral under different physical and chemical conditions. Mineral  different, the reaction speed for escharotic are also different. Like molecular  formula to be Al2O3, under different conditions, it could change to be red  column stone, blue crystal stone, silicon line stone. And there 3 kind of  mineral the character exist great difference, their reaction to the escharotic  are also quite different.
        3. stone structure
        stone structure is the relationship between the minerals it contains, it include  mineral crystal level, grain size, grain shape. Usually if the crystal level is  good, the final crystal surface is the bigger surface with high density, this  kind of surface’s chemical reaction will be slower.  Therefore, the stone consist of idiomorphism  and half idiomorphism mineral, the erode speed is slower. Grain size bigger the  erode speed slower, so the grain size affect the erode speed.
